Communicating with members

A prime need for a club is to be able to communicate with its members easily.  A website is a great way to do this but the challenge is to maintain the relevance of information.

The blog approach is clearly the most successful approach shown clearly by the worldwide dominance of Facebook.  Essentially is each person writing posts and the Facebook page merging all of your friend’s posts into one feed.

For a club, the need is slightly different. Requiring all members to enrol in Facebook or some other social media platform is not practical.

MyPhotoClub uses WordPress, the worlds most successful blogging and content management system,  as its platform.

Articles are written using a simple text editor which no more complicated than any web-based email system.  When the article is posted it appears on the website.  This initiates an email to be sent to each member that contains the content of the post.

Welcome to the Demonstration club

This website reflects a fairly typical photography club and is provided to allow you to see how our solution works. The site will reset itself periodically, so you can perform any task you wish without concern.

Login as  password demo  to see how the system functions.

The front page is a blog where articles are posted and are shown with the most recent always at the top after this message.  An email message is sent to each member notifying them of the post.

There are a large number of videos on the main MyPhotoClub site that demonstrate the system. Click here to go there.
